Adult dusky conures are about eleven inches long.

Feeding

Instead of only a seed-based diet, fresh veggies, leafy greens, and fruits, mostly red and orange (for vitamin A intake). Offer it calcium treats or cuttlebones. Confirm to scrub foods beforehand. Fried foods, chocolates, avocados, and sugar are strict no-nos.

Care

Just be together with your pet, teach it to play tricks in your way because the equation between a pet and its owner is usually unique. It might be some tricks with rings, small bells, or toys of the bird. Dusky conures like to socialize the maximum amount as possible, so introduce them to your friends and family. Converse with them, cuddle, and stroke your conure to take care of its pleasant mood.

Housing

A cage with dimensions of 30″ x 36″ x 30″ and a bar spacing of ½” will suffice for a dusky conure. Still, this bird tends to be a “pro” in escaping, so give special attention to securing the cage with locks. Rather than covering the cage with towels or clothes, use a correct cage cover. Keep 3-4 perches alongside multiple toys inside because the bird prefers variations.
