As adults, they can grow to be around 13 inches (33 centimeters) long and weigh up to 13 ounces, making them medium-sized parrots (375 grams). As a result, they appear to be smaller than their African Grey Congo parrot counterparts. Because they are identical, it is impossible to tell men from females. Owners are hence prone to making mistakes. Years can go by before their male pet decides to start laying eggs!

Timneh Greys are smaller than Congo Greys and have a deeper grey coat with a stunning burgundy tail. This bird needs a 36″ long, 24″ wide, and 66″ high cage with 34″ wire spacing.

All baby African Grey Timneh Parrots that are hand-fed are weaned on a high-variety diet. Our store-made soak-and-sprout mix, high-variety seed, and naturally colored pellets are used to wean them off the fruits and vegetables they were raised on.
